Please don't use R-409A in any motor vehicle air conditioning system, since
it's ILLEGAL to do so. The manufacturer (Elf Atochem) has repeatedly stated
its desire to stay out of the MVAC sector. Since they have not developed
unique fittings or labels to go with the refrigerant, it is not listed by
EPA as an acceptable refrigerant for use in these systems. This is a
recurring problem; please don't make it worse! You can find the current
list of refrigerants in our fact sheet at
http://www.epa.gov/ozone/title6/snap/macssubs.html
and fitting sizes at http://www.epa.gov/ozone/title6/snap/fittlist.html
