Orifice Tube Location on Chevy Pickup
Question: Is the orifice tube on a 91' Chevy Pickup truck located in the evaporator, or the condenser?

All Chevy C/K series trucks built after October, 1989 should have orifice tubes located in the condenser outlet.  G.M. changed to a condenser mounted orifice to solve noise complaints.  Evaporator installed orifice tubes would cause a hissing sound as pressure equalized after shut down.
