too much pressure in cooling system

Pumped in 5lbs of pressure to test the radiator, put system under load - the pressure shoots up to the top. Would this indicate bad heads?

Heads, waterpump and thermostat just replaced, and system flushed. Correct gasket was put on correctly (front is marked). Original engine, not supercharged and no accidents resulting in damage to anything under the hood. Everything else appears to work w/no problem. Note: when thermostat was replaced, engine ran hot quicker.
