The fact that it does cool, but the high side climbs slowley...I think you have a bad expansion valve..Did you notice the pressure when it shut off, high and low?? That is important....Also, if the disicant bag broke, that too would clog the expansion valve, and a system flush is a MUST, not a guess...Ask them to be sure, and ask them what the pressures were when it shut down..You're close...
