Don't know the type car you have so we have to guess that it's vacuumoperated. Check from the engine, vacuum source and work your way back..Look for cracked, broken or loose vacuum lines. Especially if engine work was just done, look at that area first.. Then look for where the vacuum lines plug into a vacuum reserve canister, sometimes the nipple breaks, check under the battery if the line runs under it, then follow it back into the car, to the rear of the control head. Check the lines going to the acuator under the dash..Think you'll find it long before you get inside the car....:)
