What brand compressor did you use first....Hope it wasn't a chain store reman..But your gauges could be off...Nothing should blow with a 28psi high side...Unless the port is after the obstruction....Did you change the drier..When you took the compressor off, did you notice any "sand" like stuff in the lines etc....
