Thanks, but it is still confusing. The guages are the answer it seems so I will take your advice on that. My 240 Volvo compressor is on the driver's side, and when you look straight down there is a port at 6 o'clock (if you could look head-on to the compresser back) that you can easily get to. The other port, at 10 o'clock, further from the engine, is impossible to see, and the only way I can get my fingers on it is to remove the air intake tube and the air mass meter.
