Well, If your gauges are working, then the blockage is before the high side port..I'd disassemble and flush the condenser and everything else(Not the compressor or drier) and see what comes out.. What do you mean "due to what happened to the original compressor" Was there a catasrophic failure? If so, the flush should've been done then..I have no idea what that conversion is...
