Hi Gearhard,

I contacted Javac earlier this year. The U.S. distributor for Javac products is Inficon. Inficon does not offer their entire product line. They do offer the "Shark" vacuum pump though and I purchased one from 123Supply.com. Copy and paste these URLs.

I checked it with a micron gauge, and out of the box it pulled down 10 microns.

Before I purchased it, I was curious about their other products so I contacted Javac to see if I could purchase direct. They said they would. However their other pumps (the approx 5-6 cfm pumps)if I remember correctly were from about $900 to $1500 after the exchange rate and had around a $350 shipping fee. Being a DIYer I went with the Shark for $350.

The manual does have a parts list for repairs.

I hope this helps you decide.

Kevin
