Are you attempting to do a 134A conversion? Is that the reason for the receiver/dryer change? If the system has no leaks, as you state, did you evacuate the R-12 freon that was in the system or was the system empty to start off? Have you removed the mineral oil from the system? Did you vacuum the system down and then charge into the vacuum? Mineral oil WILL NOT LUBRICATE with R-134a...If you ran the system with mineral oil and R-134a you may have a compressor wear issue... Now that's not why it didn't cool...It didn't cool probably because you have air in the system and/or a dead compressor or perhaps a stuck open expansion valve... I believe the best thing to do at this point is to stop and examine why you are using R134a...Your car was designed for R12 and while R-134a will work in it you must perform certain changes to insure the system will live withthe refrigerant.... The lubricant used....The cooling system including the fan clutch.... The condition of the hoses, o-rings, and the expansion valve.... The method of measuring pressures....High side is more informative here.. Low side will tell you nothing more than if the system is absorbing heat or not, not whether you have too little or too much refrigerant in the system... I think your car will convert over to R-134a but there are too many variables in the situation....
