Year: 90
Make: Volvo
Model: 240 DL wagon

Refrigerant: r134

Here in south Mississippi, my AC needs all the help it can get. I recently had new compressor, expansion valve, and drier (I think) installed and converted to R134. It helped some, but not enough to make you want to turn the AC down. I also install an auxiliary fan in front of the condenser which may have helped slightly, but still not what I'm looking for. I read on a Volvo discussion site that a guy with a 83 Volvo had an internally adjustable expansion valve and he was able to get it very cold by adjusting it. Apparently that is not an option any longer. Can I retrofit my 90 model to get that expansion valve? Or or there other options to get it cooler?

Thanks.

Joanthan
