Now it's really making sense. Maybe that propane fridge isn't magic after all. However, step #1 in your explanation has me confused. The large line leaving my firewall (and evaporator) is ice cold and when it hits the compressor, the line actually looks frosty. You say it should be low pressure hot vapour. Is there something wrong with my system? I'm pretty sure I have a receiver/dryer in my system, and an expansion valve near or within the evaporator. Or is it that the low pressure hot vapour in the line is still boiling and absorbing the heat from the line causing the line to get cold and frosty? (now picture a light bulb lighting up over my head)!
