sorry to upset some people but if i dont ask i dont know, as for the 40's,( based on other cars that i owned) i had a ford ltd that had a much better a/c in it, also a retrofitted 1989 cavalier that did better .this is the worse a/c i ever had. as for servicing, it has 14.000 (fourteen thousand) miles and i all ready changed the dryer an vac'ed i guess it is doing the best it can.and when i buy my next car it is going to have a getter a/c in it than this has
