Subject:    Fully charged, but only works sometimes?

Make: Honda
Model: CRX

Refrigerant: 134a

What would cause a fully charged system to work sometimes, and not others? This is on a 91 crx si, which i just did the 134a swap a year or so ago on. Sometimes, the compressor kicks on and it works perfect, and other times, it will not kick on at all. Could it be a faulty clutch, relay switch, or what? Thanks for any ideas so i can check it out. I've recieved lots of great help from this board in the past, and actually gave some when i could.
