I talked to the dealer this morning. I asked specifically if they had replaced the expansion valve. He said no. He says their technician has the system pressures within normal range and because of that, the only reason it's not cooling has to be the compressor. He says that if there were a problem with the expansion valve they would be seeing problems with pressures. Does that make any sense? I need to get my car back in service so I've given the go ahead to replace the compressor. I can return the one I bought to Autozone and get a refund. This new compressor is significantly more expensive, of course. Who knows, they'll probably thow in an expansion valve too and then everything will magically work again. :/ -dougl
