Subject:    Orifice tube size for '93 Ford Probe
Date:    June 27, 2005 at 14:51:21
Posted by:    Mike via: or 208.188.159.131

Year: 1993
Make: Ford
Model: Probe

Refrigerant: r134a

I am converting to R-134 on my '93 Ford Probe. The original orifice tube for my car, with R-12, was RED (0.62"). However, on the '94 and later models which were R-134 systems, Ford used a GREEN tube (0.52"). Since the later R134 models used the green o-tube, should I replace mine with a green tube for my conversion job?

Also, should I use an accumulator for a '94 & later model (R134A), or stick with the one for a '93 (R12)
