There is a two wire switch on the expansion vlave. Unplug it and jump the wires..If the ac comes on and blows cold, the switch needs to be changed..But the system must be evacuated when you change that switch..You can use a test light and see if you have 12v at both terminals with the connection on the switch..If so, your problem may be a bad relay for the compressor..Haven't seen one of those low pressure switches go bad in a long time..Expansion valve is on the firewall where both AC lines go thru..Hope this helps..
