I charged per Jungle Eddy's instructions this weekend, 88 BMW 535is.
At 1800 rpm, with all fans on and about 88 degF reading on the thermometer in my garage; my readings were 24 psi low and 150 psi high. I added more charge per the instructions and wetted down the condensor and waited. The low side pressure would just climb up each time to about 30-32 psi. I removed some refrigerant and it stabilized at 24 psi. The return line to the compressor was completely cool.

Here is the question? If my low side pressure is at 21-24 psi under all driving conditions, is this the maximum btu heat transfer I can possibly get. If I am not happy with the amount of cool air, then my limiting factor is the evaporator!! Since my high side pressures are pretty low, I know that the condensor is not the limiting factor.

Is this correct??

THANKS!!
