JG etc.,

You asked a question "Every now and then we have to ask--any accidents with HC's in car AC.
If you have any ( traceable)information than please post it- No Bullshit comment such as -a friend of a friend knows someone, etc etc."

I answered the question and I get blasted for it. Neutronics has no position on the use of HC's in MVAC applications. It is a violation of Federal or State law. Get the law changed and then you will not have anything to complain about. People using blends and HC's is great for our business. We would like to see the fitting restrictions revoked if we were only interested in selling more product.

Regarding the accuracy issue: "George would you like to comment about the 24% HCs, tried to use a couple of times a system or refrigerant analyser but results were normally poor.( +/- 5 % must have been a very expensive device!!!
normally a gas chromatograph cost in the vacinity of approx A$20.000
to 50.000 and in this price-class is as accurate as +/-10%)."

The stated accuracy of the Identifier is +/- 1% for the refrigerants measured. It is always possible that there were really other refrigerants or substances in the system. And yes, we have an expensive GC here.

Finally there is one other incident that I am aware of but I do not have enough details to express any opinion. I think you should discount this due to "insufficient evidence".
