Just charged my 1979 BMW with freeze 12. How much cooler should the vent temps be from outside temps???? I pulled a vacuum for about 1 hour (high & low side), put in a 4oz oil charge the approx 20oz of freeze 12. Outside temp was 60 degrees. The low pressure side would only reach 45 psi, high side reads 120. I could not get anymore in the system (factory manual says the system takes 32oz of r12). Vent temps seem cool, but on a 60 degree day thats not saying much.
