I found the "wet PAG" story quite interesting. No wonder evaporator failures, previously quite rare, have now become quite common (though this seemed to be a problem with late R-12 systems as well).
It is noteworthy of how GM "got ticked" about the loss of 50,000 evaporator sales in Florida alone. Planned obsolescence anyone? If your going to "make" something fail, why can't it be a hose or even a compressor, instead of the pain-to-replace evaporator?
