This was small 1/2 Copelamatic engineering module fitted with in line gauges, thermometer wells, voltage probes and amperage loops. Plus a septum port on the crankcase for extracting oil samples by syringe. The drier is a accumulator type screw-a-part cannister. We create desiccant by drying a blend of molecular sieve and aluminum oxide @350F for 3 hours in a nitrogen flow glove box (-80 to -100 dew point). The cannister is packed and capped in the dry box. Off the shelf driers, as you have noted, will contain from 1-10% bound moisture.
We were excited when the Cyro kit arrived, they were a new company looking for distributors, and it would have been great to get in on the ground floor.
