Okay, the local shop installed a new R12 Sanden compressor and evaporator after the old compressor wore out the front bearing. Flushed and charged... it blew cold for a day, not very cold for a few days, then a week later no cold at all. Compressor is on, stuff is going past the little window, one side is hot but other side is not cold. Garbage in the expansion valve? Rover shop manual says 9 hours shop time to replace that one...
