A reman compressor is fine..as long as it's quality. Contact Warren@acsource.com for a price. He can probaly hook you up with the evaporator too.. If not, try ackits.com. Quality is the key. As far as the refrigerant. It's more or less a personal thing. I only use the two R12 and R134a. However, some cars don't retro as good as others, and you may have to fool around with it. I hear a lot of guys going with Fr12..But like I said, it's a personal choice...
