OK..Lots of activity in sight glass? Factory refrigerant?..You got a leak. It should be almost clear.. The ford, check on the compressor for the fittings. Thats where I've seen them put them on dealer installed ac..Also, you have no way of knowing if your compressor is shot unless you can take pressures. Charging without gauges and you will have a shot compressor.
