I have a 90 Honda Accord EX that is very similar to yours. I too had an evaporator leak. When removed I found the expansion valve/evaporator connections were leaking. The brass expansion valve and aluminum tubing result in dissimilar metals corrosion which eventually causes the oring seal to leak. I later found out this is a common failure mode for Honda's of this vintage.

Removing the evaporator on this vehicle is easy, compared to most US-manufactured cars. Get a Honda manual or Alldata online manual to guide you.

Good Luck.
