Now you’re starting to get me confused. Pull a deep vacuum. Shut of the valves on your gauges only. At this point you will see if you are losing vacuum. With gauges closed opening and closing couples should have no effect as long as you are not pulling in air through the charging line which should still have no effect as the gauges are closed. Gauges closed couples open lose of vacuum you have a leak in the system.
