I know what Tim is saying!! I have done exact what you have said,"Put your gauges on. Hook up vacuum pump. Open both wheels on gauges, turn vacuum pump on..pull vacuum. When you reach 30hg turn the wheels closed..nothing more...then shut off pump..watch gauges with wheels closed...". At this point MY GAUGES GO BACK TO 0 in hg IMMEDIATELY but I pull a vacuum again just like before and Immediately gauges read 30 in hg.
