As vegas stated,you can buy the hose "kits"from acsource.com to convert your R12 hoses to R134a. EPA requires you make them permanent, but... Anyway, PSi is PSI, so they will work fine. Same with HG..Wether you use R12 or R134a gauges,the readings in PSI or HG will be the same and accurate. The difference is in the the other "lines" measureing refrigerant temp etc..But that is seldom used in MVAC... I always pull the vacuum thru the "yellow" hose and just switch to refrigerant when vacuum is completed..
