I'll let an HVAC man answer your oil questions...But the ID kits are not good only because of the instructions, or should I say lack of them. In other words, you must pull a vacuum before adding their oil and refrigerant,and they more or less just say no changes needed.You need a R134a compatable drier..etc.. So no, they don't get praise from the boards, but we sure do get a lot of questions on fixing the cars after kits were added.Check out the question and opinion board and check the archives.
