I have a 1993 XJ6 that has a shorted clutch coil which blows a fuse as soon as it is turned on. I thought I read an article that said you could replace the coil with out removing the compressor and opening the system. But I can't find a coil, every vendor wants to sell me a rebuilt compressor. My is just out of warranty and the compressor is fine. Can some one tell me where I can buy a coil and what if any special tool would be needed to change it out.
