My 1995 Voyager's A/C quit on me. The dealer wanted almost $1,000.00 to replace the compressor, receiver dryer and a valve. Not wanting to pay that much, I replaced the parts myself. The Compressor came without oil. It was tagged to add the appropriate amount of oil. I called the parts store where I purchased the compressor and they said to add 5 ounces of oil. I purchased the correct oil and poured it in the Suction side and cycled the oil about 50 times by manully turning the drive. The oil seemed to bubble around inside the compressor while cycling. Is this normal and is 5 ounces the correct amount.
I have a 1995 Plymouth Voyager, 3.0 Leter engine and the R-134A system.
