having just passed the test to buy r12, and read the material on oil contaimination will using an r12 guage set with 134a adapters for work on both r12/r134a without some form of cleaning/purging between usage result in enough oil transfer to do harm? if harm will result how could one guage set be used without harming either of the r12/134a systems? I can charge using an old ID r12 charging hose w/guage, but i might need to check hi/lo pressures on 1 of my r12 cars sometime and have been worried about the oils mixing. Thanks JLH
