SpeedAir driers are intended to seperate condensed liquid from air under high pressure and by no means qualify as a media to dry air to levels of dryness necessary for purging or making a holding charge.
Some manufactures use elaborate drying systems to effectively dry the air for use in some component and system manufacture. It is quite expensive and the air must be removed from and replaced with a nitrogen purge for select operatios ( i.e soldering). If have seen more manufactures that truck in N2 or than will do the dry air because the latter is more economical.
If you will intend to do the A/C work frequently, you should invest in a large cylinder. If you have a 2 CF cylinder, you can refill yourself for for mobile work.
