Last summer while driving a piece of metal flew off a truck and hit my van. I noticed a high pitched noise immediately after that. We put the van in the shop and got it out and the charge was lost. I replaced the gaskets and charged it back up and have not heard that noise again. I don't know if this helps or makes sense but thats what happened to me. From reading posts on this board it seems dodge ac systems are not too reliable.
