Whenever someone is looking for a cheap vacuum pump you reply because it is in your best interest to sell something, and tell them you sell them, yet why not respond to the question on how good are they ?? Don't you stand behind what you sell ?
I have heard that even a 5 hp compressor gets worked hard by these venturi pumps and has a difficult time retaining pressure. If these pumps are really in question as far as being able to do the job, even with adequate pressure, why do you sell them? They get bad reviews - - You voice your opinion very adequately on the inability of cheap compressors like Four Seasons rebuilds for example to hold up and mention you won't sell them, and I agree, so why are you selling venturi pumps which have a bad reputation?
One of the biggest problems of this board is that it is biased by many for only what profits them and is in their best interest. To be accurate the board should have only links for products by advertisers but shouldn't let advertising exist in their posts.
I think you write good posts but am really curious as to why you didn't answer the earlier post on the venturi pump since the post was directly stated to you. Since you didn't I presume you wanted to stay away from it because you think they are not a very good but since you sell them didn't want to bad mouth them. They are cheap and you get what you pay for could have been an adequate answer, they require expensive backup compressors of at least 5hp, etc. - - So. the bottom line here is you shouldn't get down on someone elses product line when you refuse to post a response on something that will hurt your profit. - - I think you are very knowledgeable, but, also push the fact you obvioulsy sell in most of your posts, leaning bias toward what you stock. This is constructive criticism, I like your posts on technical input, but I think business bias is unfair to those who really want honest answers. After all, there are wide pricing ranges in compressors and also in venturi pumps. You can get these for $9.95 to about $69.95. Your product line venturi is pricey, and apparantly you think someone is throwing money away on it since you didn't post a response, I believe others read it that way also.
Usually we are looking for an honest answer, and who knows better what gets returned than a seller of products. High product returns usually relate to disatisfaction and inferior performance. You know both these answers on the venturi pumps, but didn't post. After all your posts I have read, I am disappointed you didn't respond.
