Yokogawa is the only unit you should look at. It detects R-12 & R134A.
It is very accurate, Very sensitive, And only $400.00 or so. This may sound like a lot, But buy a cheapy beepy type, Get burned on a few leaks on an R-12 system and $400.00 seems like pocket change for a good leak detector.
