there are not, and will be no "drop in" replacements for r-12 that you can just top off an r-12 system with. this would be illegal and would contaminate the remaining r-12, because eventually there will be no virgin r-12 left, only reclaimed. there are a few alternatives out there that require minumal changes to be made, but they are yet to be totally nationally recognized. 134 is still the only one that is national and auto manu recognized as an alternative. althoe I think there must be something better, I am having great results with 134 and feel safe using it.........D........
