Thanks for responding Warren. I don't have access to one of those fancy cameras you're talking about. I can't see the hole nor any damage to the cooling fins around the leak, but estimate it's size to be that of a finishing nail hole judging by the amount of gas and oil that oozed out. I think I can pry back the cooling fins to expose the rupture enough to apply some hot solder without even removing the blasted condensor from its mount, then manipulate the fins back into approximate position. Do you think this will hold? How about adding a sliver of sheet copper to reinforce the patch?
