I am currently in the process of replacing a Four Seasons compressor that failed after 1 year. "Four seasons" is about how long they will last if you are lucky. I had a massive leak develope. At first I thought the lip seal had failed but it turns out some internal part came loose and punched a hole through the compressor case. A bunch of metal flakes and chunks came out when I drained the oil from the compressor, so now I have a big mess to clean up.
After shopping around a bit I found I could get a new OEM compressor(harrison V5) for $285.
