I am having a hard time convencing friends, especially older friends that it is not necessary to manually turn the air conditioner off when they leave their modern state-of-the-art vehicle and manually turn it back on after they started their engine again.
This must have gotten started back in the old days before circuits automaticly shut off the air and disengaged the clutch during the cranking process,and the compressors had pistons.If this were necessary, or even fairly important, you can bet that the manuals would spell this out in the climate control section.
I think it might help if I had some replies from people who really know about this subject to show them. Please help.
