since 1965 when I got my first AC car, either hit the AC switch, vent, Econ, or whatever 5-10 minutes before I stop the car with the blower on max. This dries off the evaporator to ease on fungi buildup, just read the number of posts here by people that have that problem, I don't have that problem. Also, I hate that big puddle of water on my garage floor. Next time I start the car, the AC is already off, a tap of my finger turns it back on again, but I first cool down the car by opening the windows. I have been wearing seat belts since the 50's, even installed them back then because they were cool meaning that I am buckled in and not going anywhere, no big deal to hit one little button, not much else to do since they took out the manual choke, clutch, and spark advance lever, thought auto reverse tape players were crazy, not exactly like I have to walk across the room to flip a tape, next they are going to take away the steering wheel and the brake pedal and put in some crazy computer that you key in your destination, but maybe that won't be so bad, could program my car to go out and get a gallon of milk and won't have to even leave the house, just lay on the couch and get fat. Driving is sure getting boring, only excitement is wondering if the check engine lamp will come on.
