then your AC has to be very clean before you can detect any signs of dye leakage, if it leaks that much, the old fashions soap and water works just as well, but you can't beat a good electronic leak detector. To get around the dirt problem acsource.com is offering a blacklight in th 50 buck range, a good leak detector costs around $250.00, since taking it to shops, least around here costs that much to open the hood, I would go with the electronic leak detector, a man has got to have some good tools to work with and think how popular you will be with the neighbors. Can the stop leak stuff, if an "O" has a crack, ten cans of the stuff won't stop this kind of leak, if there is a pin hole in a line or in the condenser, same results, about the only thing it may do is plug your orifice and gum up your reed valves and once you put that stuff in there, you will never get it out.
