Since I am paranoid about having four identical tires on my car, I still have to pay 2-3 bucks to get rid of the old ones only to have them resold at a good profit, 30% of the recycled tires are resold for road use. I also after much arguing sold a car to a junk yard for ten bucks, then I asked to get my aftermarket electronic ignition off that car, the price was 50 bucks just for that module and they wanted another 75 bucks for the radio, if I took it off myself. Can only dream about selling perfectly good R-12 to a shop, after all, they will resell it for 40-60 bucks a pound, damn shops around here want to evacuate a system when it only needs a top off, even if you show them records you only lost 3 oz in the last ten years.
