Recently bot this car, has auto climate control, I knew the compressor wouldn't engage. Added 1/2 can 134, clutch kicked in. Continued adding 134 and the low pressure was pulling down to about 30 psi and air at vents was becoming cool. All of a sudden the low side pressure shot up to 75-80 psi (compressor still running) and held there, air was now warm at the vents. Increased idle speed to draw more freon, but low pressure stays at 75-80 psi. Ran approximately 3 more minutes in this fashion. Compressor became very hot. Is this an expansion valve problem, compressor, or what?
