I can't testify for, or refute the zmax claims. But I have experienced a fairly well documented increase in mileage using Amsoil Series 2000 oil in several vehicles. The advantage, as I see it, of improving your mileage with amsoil is you end up paying less for your oil, rather than more for an additive. Extending the life of your engine is not a bad deal, either. I had one fellow near here tell me of his truck with 1.2 million miles on the engine without an overhaul, (and here's the clincher) changing his oil at 120,000 mile intervals. I was impressed, but wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't met others with similar experiences.
